Our trip to North East Georgia for hiking and geocaching was fantastic. Great weather, great surroundings and great company made for an enjoyable and exciting adventure.

Which way did he go?

Our first stop was Black Rock Moutain. Miles upon miles of beautiful hiking trails and scenic overlooks.  Although at one point we weren’t sure which trail we were on and which way to go.

It would be a great place for a bigfoot sighting.

No, Really, There were goats on the roof!

When we came down from the mountain, we headed into town for some geocaching. A couple were easy. A few were not.  But, the most memorable was at Goats on the Roof. You heard me. Goats on the Roof.  And yes there were…

So I found a parking spot reserved just for me and started to explore. The cache was a little more challenging than I had thought. Especially when we found a magnetic key container only to discover it had a key in it. But we did find the cache and in the process, ran across rabbit who was passing the afternoon in the shade.

There was of course plenty of fudge, ice cream, and country nic-nacs to check out, try and buy. My wife found a beautiful magnetic and stone necklace / bracelet. And with it being a few days before her birthday, I couldn’t refuse. Besides, it really did look good on her.
